Our brief was to specify suitable office furniture for Academic Appointments refurbished offices that included their corporate colours, was flexible for future growth and was correct for the safe use of all members of staff.
With the versatility of adding or reconfiguring the settings, the client agreed to use bench desking to allow departments to be in the same proximity but also have sufficient private space to work and also allow the central location of data and telecoms cabling using cable trays underslung in the benches, for the seating we worked with British manufacturer, Boss Design, utilising their Komac App Fabric Back chair range configured with the attributes required to meet the clients’ needs.
We specified a centrally located tambour storage collection that meant all required users had easy access to stored documentation. Along with the bench desking system and under desk pedestals we worked with Hawk Furniture to achieve this quality of finish.
When the owners decided to add some fresh but functional furniture in their stylish café bar in picturesque North Yorkshire they approached Jowett & Sowry to assist.
We specified some great, fun furniture to add to the already welcoming atmosphere in this great café bar.
Bradford Grammar School approached Jowett & Sowry with a brief to convert an unused area of their glass atrium into a functional study area for use by the 6th form.
The design was agreed upon and working closely with Eborcraft in Yorkshire, a study booth concept was designed and manufactured.
Each study booth needed to include data and power modules and task seating was provided by Boss Design from the West Midlands, the lighting also needed to be specified and installed to ensure no shading caused eye fatigue when the students were studying.
